The goal of our Small Groups is to CONNECT, GROW AND SERVE.
- Connect - God has designed us to live in community. We need God. We need each other. In the book of Hebrews, we are told to “not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing” but to continue meeting so that we can encourage and “spur one another on towards love and good deeds.” And that’s where small groups come in.
- Grow – Small groups are the primary means for discipleship and the building of the body of Christ at First Christian Church. Discipleship happens when we are challenged and changed by obedience to God’s Word. Jesus said in Matthew 28, “Go and make disciples and teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you.” As each of us grow individually, then as a church we become more effective in being light and salt in our community and our world.
- Serve - Our desire is to help believers discover how God has uniquely wired them with gifts, talents and passions and equip them to magnify God by serving in their church, community and world. Allow God to guide you to the ministry in which He has created and designed you to serve. Don't be afraid to step out and try something new. He will always enable you to do what He calls you to do. The Apostle Peter said, “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.”
Small Groups meet on various nights of the week. Some current options are:
- Life Stage Groups
- Singles
- Young Couples
- Young Families
- Parenting Adolescence
- Inter-generational Groups -- These groups are made up of people from different age groups and backgrounds.
