Men’s Ministry Activities for 2010

Monthly Saturday Breakfasts

July 31st is our next Men's Breakfast where we will continue our study of Twelve Ordinary Men, a book written by John MacArthur.  This study will be taught by ordinary men at FCC and will show us how Jesus shaped His disciples for greatness, and what He wants to do with each of us as men.

Join the men of FCC at 8am in Fellowship Hall and enjoy:

  • Fellowship with other  men
  • Full breakfast
  • Time of worship
  • Great message

Men's Fraternity @ FCC

Starts Sept. 7 and 8

In September we kick-off Men's Fraternity, a 24 week study in  The Quest for Authentic Manhood.  Imagine the transforming power of men coming together within our church and community to honestly examine their lives and take the courageous steps necessary to embrace authentic manhood on a journey to become who God intends them to be.

We will offer Men's Fraternity twice each week - both on Tuesday morning and again on Wednesday night.  Plan on attending this new study beginning September 7th and 8th.  If interested please sign up now on the plaza at the Men's table.  Registation will begin in August.  More information to follow.

Following are the goals, vision and core values for Men's Ministry at FCC

Goal

It is the goal of FCC’s Men’s Ministry to develop a well balanced ministry that will encourage men to live passionately for God on a daily basis

Scripture

“Do not be deceived:  God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows.  The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:7-8 (NIV)

Vision Statement

We envision our men having:

  • A Passion for God
  • A Passion for people
  • A Passion to serve

Core Values

We value:

  1. Seeking God with our whole heart and building our goals around His priorities
  2. Being men of God’s Word and having it as the final authority in our lives
  3. Being men who are passionate leaders of their families, friends and businesses
  4. Our bodies as the temple of God and choose not to defile them by the lusts of the world
  5. Our money as a trust from God which must be earned and managed according to Scriptural principles
  6. Our words being in harmony with God’s Word always encouraging and never weakening our witness to  others
  7. Our affections being set on things above and not on the things of this earth
