What is Member Care?

Member Care Services supports the family of First Christian Church when crisis erupts by providing an infrastructure to facilitate prayer, cards, hospital visits and various support needed. These ministries seek to extend the love, comfort and compassion of Jesus Christ to those in need.

Biblically-based guidance.  The pastors and staff of First Christian Church are available for prayer support and biblical guidance.  We specialize in Premarital, Marital, Grief, and Life Mentoring.  For futher assistance, we suggest contacting a professional counselor.

Prayer Support

Prayer Requests: God invites us to pray for each other, and there are many at First Christian Church who will humbly bring your requests before God. Simply submit your request in the offering box or by sending an email to Prayer Request

Weddings

We are committed to seeing that the wedding ceremony is a joyous, worshipful and meaningful experience, signifying a new beginning of a man and woman joining their lives together for a lifetime.  Please contact our office to see about availability, options, and cost.  Wedding Info

Funerals

Funerals and Memorial Services are times for remembering, honoring, and celebrating loved ones who have passed away. Our pastors assist families during these difficult times by offering support, comfort, and help in designing a meaningful funeral or memorial service to be held in the First Christian Church sanctuary or other area location. Confident Kids

CONFIDENT KIDS is a Bible-based support group program that helps families with children ages 4 to 12 deal with the stresses of living in today's world. CONFIDENT KIDS offers hope, help, and healing to struggling kids. In a concurrent group, parents grow as they learn new skills to help their children and strengthen their family.  For more information about the next session, please contact Confident Kids or call (805) 614-2824.

Growing Through Divorce

Statistically, we know that more than 50% of all marriages will end in divorce.  But statistics cannot measure the pain, confusion, and feeling of being alone that accompanies divorce and separation.  Growing Through Divorce can help.  During this class you will discover that you are not alone, be guided through the healing process, and learn valuable skills for making wiser choices in the future.
