Clete Doyal, Senior Pastor, has been working at First Christian since 1980. Originally from Bakersfield, Clete and his wife Bonnie have three children. He received a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of La Verne and a Masters in Church Leadership from Vanguard University. Clete enjoys spending time with his dog Calvin, taking his annual camping trip to Yosemite, and spending time with his granddaughters Mia and Sofia. Clete's Photo Gallery |

Lynn Spier, Interim Executive Pastor, has been working at First Christian Church since June, 2011. Originally from Colorado, he and his wife, Ginny, have 3 adult children and 5 grandsons. Lynn graduated from the University of Colorado in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He retired 6 years ago from a 36 year career in retail management . He enjoys running, cycling and playing golf. |

Collie Coburn, Director of Children’s Ministries, has been working at First Christian since the summer of 2009. Collie earned a B.A. in Intercultural Studies from Hope International University, and a M.A. in Historical and Systematic Theology from Wheaton College. Kevin Hasenfus, Associate Pastor of Student Ministry, has been working at First Christian since the summer of 2011. Kevin received his B.A. in International Marketing from Whitworth University. Kevin received his calling into ministry while working at Hume Lake Christian Camps. This is also where he met the love of his life Shayna. Kevin and Shayna were married in June 2009. Kevin enjoys SPORTS of any kind, the great outdoors, camping, and hanging out with Shayna……. |

Kyle Davelaar, Associate Pastor of Worship and the Arts, moved to Santa Maria with his wife Shirley in 2007. Kyle received his B.A. from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. After seminary, he began work on a Masters of Music at Cal State Fullerton, and devoted much of his time to composing and recording worship songs. A graduate of St. Joseph High school, she has been living in Santa Maria for nearly her entire life. She loves to spend time with family and friends by bowling and hosting game nights. |

Joni Shaffer, Staff Assistant, has been working off and on for First Christian since 1994 and has been a member of First Christian Church since 1969. Joni and her husband Garold have three children and one grandchild. A native of Santa Maria, Joni loves to read, go to the lake, and spend time with family and friends. |

Connie George, Bookkeeper, has been working at First Christian since December of 2008. Connie and husband Patrick have two children. She moved around many places as a child since her father was in the Air Force but has called Santa Maria home for the past 4 years. In her spare time Connie loves to go to the beach. |

Thomas Cote, Director of Technical Ministries, first joined FCC in 2009 as a member of the worship team, playing piano and other instruments. In 2011, he made the decision to give up a full time job at KCOY/KKFX News where he worked for 5 years as a Newscast Director and Producer of the morning broadcast to work at FCC and focus on completing a degree in Business Administration. Thomas has lived in Santa Maria for much of his life and enjoys writing and playing music.
