engaged

Engaging the people of First Christian Church with our community and with our world” We define this engagement as “bringing together God’s supply and human need”. Our primary goal is community transformation—both ours (FCC) and theirs (our community and our world). We also want to provide the people of FCC with meaningful opportunities to live out their faith in our church, our community and our world.

Imagine a place where disadvantaged kids can come and travel back in time to a western museum filled with visions of days gone past. In this day and age where video games, cell phones and iPods dominate the "You Tube" generation's attention, Fort Hope is a refreshing change that rejuvenates the mind, body and soul. This is our vision, a western museum complex filled with shops and buildings that kids from all walks of life can come and experience...simple!

The Loomis family has owned the Tar Springs Ranch since 1942. Family members built an earlier version of a western town and allowed charitable organizations to use the setting for hundreds of fund raisers. Pat, Leigh Ann and their 5 children have lived on the ranch their entire lives. Pat owns a landscaping business while Leigh Ann has her hands full with five growing children.
