Student Ministry Pastor

FCC is a non denominational church located on the Central Coast in California looking to hire a Student Pastor. We have a wide open front door and the term “no perfect people allowed” would fit us pretty well. We average over 700 adults on Sunday morning.

What the position is: Our Student Pastor would oversee our Jr. and Sr. High Ministries. To accomplish this we have two youth interns that assist the Student Ministries Pastor. We are looking for a veteran Youth Pastor who has cut their teeth and is passionate for students. Our staff culture is not a micro management culture, therefore, it is imperative that this person has a vision for the ministry and how that vision can connect with the rest of the church. The right candidate should also want to have a voice in the direction the church is heading, their job description will entail 80% youth 20% church leadership, preaching, and planning. They will be joining a team of four other full time pastors. This is a full time position. Pay based on experience and includes benefits.

What they look like: The perfect candidate for us would have a college/masters degree, be gifted in leadership first and teaching second. Our youth group is too large for one person to have a relationship with every kid, that is why we are looking for someone who can build a team rather than try to accomplish it alone. This person would be a team player and passionate about recruiting adults and youth to come along side them to accomplish the goals of the church.
